Our food won’t disappoint. We start with the best, freshest ingredients possible. In our kitchen you won’t see much in cans, jars or boxes because it’s all made fresh daily. From our 28-ingredient red mole to the house-made sweet and sour mix in our hand-shaken margaritas, we are committed to the best ingredients and truest flavors. So even before your food is made, our quality puts us way ahead of expectations.
Carnitas, while a staple in Mexico City, are almost never found (properly executed) stateside. In order to be done right, they require more time and labor than other restaurants are willing to invest. It’s also a cooking technique that falls somewhere between art and science. Chef Jose’s pork comes out tender and juicy on the inside, crispy and sweetly caramelized on the outside. It truly is a dish unique to Taléo Grill. Carnitas can be found as an entrée, one of our most popular, or as an occasional filling in our tamales and daily featured soft taco. One way or another, don’t miss this very special taste sensation.
We have expanded our seafood selection with the incorporation of several traditional grilled fish dishes. We heartily recommend trying our grilled scallops or Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, which features the delicious combination of sweet shrimp and roasted garlic sautéed in a white wine sauce with a hint of spiciness from serrano. This dish is indicative of west coast Mexican cooking featuring seafood at its core. It’s balanced with cilantro lime rice and the day’s fresh vegetables. This dish can also be requested a la carte if you would like a sampling rather than an entrée.
By far, the house favorite is the beef enchilada. The beef is slow roasted overnight, then hand-pulled and hand-rolled to order in a corn tortilla before being placed on your plate. Before being served, they are finished with a mild guajillo sauce. Made daily, this light tomato-based sauce has the perfect mild heat to accentuate the richness of the beef. With the house-made crema across the top, the flavors mix together – savory and sweet, mild and spicy – to give you one of the finest taste profiles you’ve ever experienced.
If you are looking for an entrée salad, try our roasted chicken salad. The roasted, hand-pulled chicken tops a bed of fresh greens, asparagus, avocado, papaya, pecans and hearts of palm. The dressing is one of our unique creations: tequila vinaigrette. As with our other salads, the roasted chicken salad is exceptionally crisp and flavorful.
